The Pearl Girls® Repair Department can reknot or restring your broken pearl or beaded jewelry. Imitation or real pearls, jet, cloissone, amber, jade and more. If your piece requires beadwork, we can fix it!
We can replace clasps (this may or may not require a reknot), fix leather-on-leather and bead pieces. We can add pearls to rings and pins. We try keep every size pearl in stock, even some vintage pearls!
We can lengthen necklaces or bracelets (adding pearls, beads or an extension chain) or, we can shorten them. We can create necklaces, bracelets and earrings using your pearls or beads, or we can use ours!
Essentially, The Pearl Girls can do any type of beadwork, excluding soldering metal or setting stones.
Worn or Damaged Pearls
Over time, pearl necklaces, pearl bracelets and beaded jewelry start to stretch out. The beads will start to wiggle between the knots. The fine silk will get soiled and the entire piece of jewelry will lose its pop. Or sometimes jewelry just breaks! This is a sign it is time for jewelry repair.
